To Seattle

Some of you may be wondering where I have been the past couple days; well I needs inform you that yesterday I was forced into moving to another city by the command of my benefactor. He wants me to work on a case all the way over to the city Seattle (never heard of it) that seems to be an insultingly humble case of reconnaissance and observation of a man of little importance. I can only infer that this is out of punishment for disagreement with my activities the past couple of days in New York – days which he forced me to endure, mind you! I retain very little patience for him, and that which I do keep is mostly out of my necessity of him and not respect for him.

I hope there is something that I can make of this case, but I fear there is not. I will meet with the affected party shortly.

  1. If your target happens to be a bumbling old man, you should know that he does have some importance. He is our POI, too. I’m talking about Don Quixote.

  2. Well, looks like you may have your hands full. Don is, as I’m sure you know, a little messed up in the head. Oh well, I’m sure it’s nothing you cannot handle.

Also, your benefactor is beginning to sound like our own. If he calls himself Administrator, yeah, I get that he is a jerk and really drives you crazy sometimes. He does it to us too. Partially, though, I think he can’t really help it. It’s just how he is. He isn’t actually a human, so defining him in relation to humans is rather foolish when you think about it.

  3. Dear Mr. Holmes,
I understand that you have moved on to a new case, but my associates and I are still trying to make sense of Cinderella’s disappearance.
Do you by any chance know if the slip of paper reading “And they all lived happily ever after. THE END” was written in Sandy’s handwriting or someone else’s (and if someone else, whose)?
    This may be important.

    Thank you,
    Qara-Xuan
